After performing at Virgin Mobile FreeFest on Saturday, Deadmau5 will be back in Maryland later this month.
He will appear at the new Fillmore Silver Spring September 21 and 22. Tickets, at $50, went on sale today. Brace yourself for all the kiddie ravers and all the Deadmau5 paraphernalia.
Jill Scott, who just staged a summer block party with Doug E. Fresh and Anthony Hamilton at the Verizon Center in early August, will perform a solo night at The Lyric. Tickets, starting at $59.75, go on sale Friday.
The great Jonathan Richman, who performed in Baltimore this February, will be back this Fall. He will perform at the Creative Alliance October 20. Tickets cost $15, $10 for members.
Height with Friends, who just played the fifth Rap Round Robin, are about to leave on a Fall tour. To kick off the trek, they'll perform a free show at the Windup Space September 24.
Baltimore's Arbouretum and Portland's Eternal Tapestry will be touring together this year. They've scheduled a Baltimore show at Metro Gallery for October 4. Tickets cost $8. Arbouretum just released their fourth album, "The Gathering," in February. The Baltimore show is the first of the Fall tour.
Sting is back on tour this year, it was announced Monday. The singer is promoting the release of a box-set called "Sting: 25 years."
He will perform at DAR Constitution Hall October 29. Tickets, starting at $85, go on sale Monday.
The Bangles are also coming to Washington, though not to a Live Nation venue. They'll perform at the 9:30 club October 6 - my birthday! - in support of new album "Sweetheart of the Sun." Tickets, at $25, are already on sale.
