Country fans have a lot to choose from this Spring. In addition to Miranda Lambert at 1st Mariner in January and Brad Paisley in March, Blake Shelton is now on the road as well.
Shelton is on his "Well Lit & Amplified Tour" to promote "Red River Blue," which was released last year. He'll perform at the Patriot Center in Fairfax February 25. Tickets, starting at $33.75, go on sale Friday.
Big Freedia, the exciting New Orleans Bounce star, is performing at Golden West Cafe February 10. Freedia was preceded in Baltimore by peer Vockah Redu, who's performed here twice before already.

Chuck Brown, the godfather of go-go, is performing at Rams Head on Stage June 16. Brown, who turned 75 last August, has said he's not planning on retiring any time soon.
His last album, "We Got This," was released two years ago. Tickets, at $37.50, are already on sale.
Rodrigo y Gabriela, the Mexican acoustic guitar duo, will perform at the Warner Theatre in DC April 25. Tickets, at $55, go on sale January 20.
Their newest album, "Area 52," is notable because it reconfigures some of the duo's own hits for a 13-piece Cuban orchestra. It was recorded partially in Mexico and in the Havana studio of famed Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez.
Also playing DC is the rapper Theophilus London, who released an EP, "Lovers Holiday," last year and is poised to release an album sometime in 2012. He'll perform at the 9:30 Club February 6. Tickets, at $20, are already on sale.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
