August 15 - 21 in nightlife: Kesha, Bob Dylan, IDentity Festival, Rap Round Robin

Lots of marquee performers are in the area this week - Kesha, Bob Dyland and Leon Russell, a bunch of djs at the traveling music festival IDentity. But the signature event of the week is clearly the annual Rap Round Robin, which this year will feature performances by AK Slaughter, Rap Dragons, Mickey Free and Height. Also this week: in addition to Bill Cosby, who will be at Pier Six, Martin Lawrence will also be in town, performing at 1st Mariner Arena.

On Monday, Ineveryroom and Lands & Peoples perform at Metro Gallery, 1700 North Charles Street. 9 p.m. $10.

On Tuesday, Bob Dylan performs at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway , Columbia. The show would be a best bet with Dylan on his own, but the legendary Leon Russell is opening for him. 6 p.m. Tickets start at $40.

On Wednesday, Shores, Creepoid and Fires perform at Charm City Art Space, 1729 Maryland Ave. 7 p.m. Ticket information not posted.

On Thursday, the traveling electronic music festival IDentity stops at Jiffy Lube Live, 7800 Cellar Door Drive, Bristow. Kaskade, Rusko, Disco Biscuits, Chuckie, Booka Shade, Datsik will perform at the Skullcandy Stage. Hercules and Love Affair, playing a live set, Holy Ghost!, Steve Aoki, DJ Shadow, the Crystal Method, and others will play the Dim Mak Stage. Steve Lawler, White Shadow, LA Riots, and others will play at the third stage, Beatport. 1 p.m. Tickets start at $46.35.

On Friday, the annual Rap Round Robin takes place at the Floristree. The performers? AK Slaughter, Mickey Free and Secret Weapon Dave, PT Burnem, OOH of Brownfish with seeWEED, Height With Friends, Jones, Mania Music Group, The Plural MC, King Rhythm, Soul Cannon, Rapdragons, and Disturbed Individuals. On Saturday, Bill Cosby, interviewed in this Sunday's Sun, performs at Pier Six Pavilion, 731 Eastern Ave. 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $20.

On Sunday, Kesha performs at Patriot Center, George Mason University, 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax City, V. 6:30 p.m. $49.50. Also: Martin Lawrence will be at 1st Mariner Arena. 7 p.m. $47.50.
