No. 3 -- The Ottobar upstairs( Erik Maza, Baltimore Sun / October 12, 2010 )
For the past hour, you've been on your feet, jumping, dancing, screaming your guts out as your favorite band played an exhausting set. It might have been Le Tigre, or Jimmy Eat World. You just want to sit down. At most bars, the floor would be littered with crud. Couches? There are no couches, just some barstools and lots of standing-around room. But at the Ottobar, all you have to do is climb up their steep, narrow stairs, and you'll find a place as comfortable as its second-hand couches. More so than any other place in town, those couches are where you want to end your night. Part of it might be convenience and location, but most just want a place they can feel as comfortable in as in your bedroom with the low murmur of good music softly playing in the background. --Erik Maza
