No. 10 -- B&O American Brasserie( Gene Sweeney Jr., Baltimore Sun / July 9, 2010 )
Baltimore has some beloved icons: H.L. Mencken, Edgar Allan Poe, Cal Ripken Jr. It's too much of a stretch to say B&O bartender Brendan Dorr is inching closer to their ranks, but the man is adored nonetheless. If he's no Baltimore icon, then at least he's the Northeast's Next Top Bartender. Dorr has won several mixing competitions over the years, the latest just this September, for a drink he dubbed "El Oso" that mixed Barenjager and Tequila. The happy hour specials at what can be a pricey spot drop to $3 for beer and some wine weekdays between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -- Erik Maza
