Is Allentown's Amanda Seyfried more desirable than either of them?
Those are some findings of a new survey in which more than a million votes were cast internationally.
Askmen.com, which calls itself is the world's No. 1 lifestyle site for men, on Tuesday announced results of its annual "Top 99 Most Desirable Women" poll, and Swift placed No. 30 on the list – and No. 4 among music artists.
But Allentown native Seyfried, who in 2013 had the title role in "Lovelace," the biopic of porn actress Linda Lovelace, finished in front of both, at No. 27. That was down one place from last year.
The 13th edition of the poll asked readers to elect women who most closely match their ideals – meaning voting was based on more than just sex appeal and took into account other criteria such as character, talent and potential. Askmen says it drew more than 1 million votes.
Rounding out this year's top five are Alison Brie, star of NBC-TV's "Community" (No. 2), "Blurred Lines" music video model Emily Ratajkowski (No. 3), last year's Oscar-winning No. 1 Jennifer Lawrence (No. 4) and Emma Watson of "Harry Potter" fame (No. 5).
"AskMen readers are big television fans -- the proof is the 27 current and former TV stars that they voted to this year's list," AskMen publisher James Bassil said in a release. He said Clarke's choice as No. 1 "is attributable to the strength and character she portrays on screen," as well as the popularity of "Game of Thrones."
Among music artists, only singers Beyonce (No. 11), Rita Ora (No. 18) and Rihanna (No. 19) place higher than Swift, who was up from No. 36 last year.
Rihanna tumbled from No. 4 last year, Beyonce was up from No. 32 last year.
The other singers on the list were Janelle Monae (No. 68), Ariana Grande (No. 73), Selena Gomez (No. 89), Perry (No. 90) and Miley Cyrus (No. 99). Cyrus made the list for the first time. Jennifer Lopez made the list last year, but dropped off this year.
In all, 47 actresses, seven athletes, one businesswoman, 10 music artists, 24 involved in fashion, 24 moms and four comediennes made the list.
