( Handout photo, Baltimore Sun / March 23, 2012 ) DC Star played a handful of reunion shows that Simmons hoped would reignite the band's passion, but health issues derailed the plan. Lead singer Kenny Taylor passed away last May after a long battle with lymphoma. Bassist Henry Farmer delivers mail in New York. Guitarist Jeff Avery lives in Clifton as a steamfitter. Drummer Glenn Jones has worked for grocer Giant for the past 25 years. He's currently a regional store manager in Prince George's County. Simmons is developing a country singer from Florida, Mark Bray, for his company, David and Goliath Music. |
