As audiences -- televised and live -- awaited some Ricky Gervais zingers, the comedian-host seemed to save some of his harshest criticisms for himself. Then, when he introduced Johnny Depp, Gervais joked that Depp's career was in trouble. Evidence? Depp helped promote Gervais' sitcom "Life's Too Short."
