Image 1 of 21
The hallmark of Eddie Murphy's stand-up career was its un-PC edginess, a trait that carried over into Murphy's turn on "Saturday Night Live" and his early films. But for a while, the comedian was seen in more family films, such as "Imagine That" (right) "The Nutty Professor" and "Meet Dave" and his voicing of Donkey in the "Shrek" franchise.
