Underdogs: The Racine Belles
Sibling rivalry spills over onto the baseball diamond when two sisters wind up on opposite sides in the championship game of the World War II-era All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Star player Dottie ( Geena Davis) of the favored Rockford Peaches eventually gives jealous younger sis Kit ( Lori Petty) of the Belles her way, dropping the ball in the decisive play at home plate in the films climax. -- George Dickie, Zap2it |
