Oscars handicapping [Pictures]
With this year's Oscar races entering the home stretch, here's my take on the frontrunners, possible upsets and who will go home from this year's Academy Awards empty-handed.

Best Picture nominee: 'Argo'( MCT / January 11, 2013 )
Having won nearly all the best picture accolades of late -- the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, Directors Guild, Writers Guild, probably even the Iranian Film Society's (although I can't swear to that one) -- a win by "Argo" here is starting to resemble a sure thing, which makes director Ben Affleck's omission from the Best Director nominations incomprehensible.
This could mark the first time since "Driving Miss Daisy" in 1990 that the director of a Best Picture Oscar winner wasn't even nominated. It's like the academy members think the film directed itself ...
