Donor to Baltimore police surveillance program says privacy debate 'healthy'

'Abuse of Weakness'

This is John Waters' pick for the 2014 Maryland Film Festival, which annually is by itself enough to get a couple hundred Baltimoreans packed into a theater on a Friday night in May to see a movie they would never have given a second thought otherwise. The fact that this autobiographical tale, of a stroke-impaired filmmaker being taken advantage of by a con man, is from a world-renowned director (France's Catherine Breillat) and is getting its East Coast premiere is only icing on the cake. 7 p.m. May 9 at MICA Brown Center
