'The Lost World'
The wondrous sounds of the three-piece Alloy Orchestra help bring to resplendent life a long-dormant art form -- the silent film -- in what has become a Sunday morning Maryland Film Festival tradition. This year's film is an adaptation of a short story by Arthur Conan Doyle (perhaps better known as the creator of Sherlock Holmes) about an Amazon plateau filled with dinosaurs and some adventurers' ill-fated decision to bring one of them back to London. -- Chris Kaltenbach
