Converting North Charles Street to a movie set brought Christmas decorations to a block near <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100603012200" title="Mount Vernon" href="/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/baltimore/mount-vernon-PLGEO100100603012200.topic">Mount Vernon</a> place. Jim Rick, a city electrician, raised some of them (pictured) for the shooting of the film "Diner" in which <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB004142" title="Barry Levinson" href="/topic/entertainment/movies/barry-levinson-PECLB004142.topic">Barry Levinson</a>'s script recreates a slice of his teen years at Forest Park High School.
