Kim Kardashian had a near-wardrobe malfunction Wednesday when a gust of wind blew up her maternity dress and garnered the reality TV star her very own Marilyn Monroe moment.
Kardashian, pregnant with rapper Kanye West's baby, was out in Beverly Hills wearing a dress and black blazer paired with a handbag and flat sandals. As she was walking, a gust of wind inflated the short frock and nearly revealed her growing baby belly and potentially much more -- a la Monroe in "The Seven Year Itch."
Photos show the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star pushing down on the billowing garment to save herself from what could have been a very embarrassing photo op. We knew she was a fan of old Hollywood glam, but this is a whole 'nother animal.
The 32-year-old, who was recently "babymooning" in Paris with her mom before she would have to stop flying in her final months of pregnancy, is expecting her first child in June. Kid Kardashian is believed to be a girl, judging from the ballerina music box baby shower invitation circulating in Hollywood. But the baby's gender will officially be revealed when the eighth season of her E! series returns June 2. The premiere episode shows Kardashian with sisters Kourtney and Khloe and mom Kris Jenner in a doctor's office waiting for the results of her ultrasound.
"You get to see Kim's pregnancy, the whole ride of it," sister Khloe Kardashian Odom told Celebuzz.
The ultra-scrutinized reality TV starlet has been harshly criticized for putting on too much weight during her "painful" pregnancy. She also insisted on continuing to wear heels despite her feet swelling and ultimately gave in to the pragmatism of flats. West has been singled out for appearing absent for much of his girlfriend's pregnancy because he's been working on a new album. But Khloe, doing the media rounds for the upcoming "KUWTK" season, shut down those rumors this week, saying, "Kim and Kanye are 100% still together and we are waiting for Kim's baby."
"Honestly, she's doing great, honestly besides the criticism that she gets," Khloe continued to Celebuzz. "I think she's now handling it better. She's now kind of trying to block it all out. It was hard for her. She's great. I think any woman at the end of their pregnancy, I think you're just like 'OK, I'm comfortable.' She's not exactly there yet but I could sense it's coming, which is normal."
"There's so many of us [in our family] so we're here to help her and that's the great part."
