Clearly a week of releases of off-beat films, 2008's 'In Bruges' gets the blu-ray treatment with a handful of extras. With some outstanding performances by Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes, this Martin McDonagh directed thriller has some moments of true dark humor that might not appeal to all tastes.
When hit men Ray (Farrell) and Ken (Gleeson) have been ordered to remain a low profile in city of Bruges (it's in Belgium) after finishing a big job, it doesn't take long before things spin out of control. But since hit men tend to stand out like sore thumbs, they quickly make enemies with a big crime boss (Fiennes) and the fur begins to fly.
But given the film's uneven tone, you're often left wondering when and where you're supposed to be laughing. Extras on this latest release include deleted scenes, extended scenes as well as a somewhat entertaining gag reel.
