Karin Tiffany has spent 25 years — half of her life — at Peter's Inn, the quintessentially Baltimore restaurant in Fells Point that she owns with her husband, Bud. Peter's has a huge and varied fan club, thanks to her terrific food and the laid-back tone she sets for the dining room. Everyone, from local food snobs to John Waters, loves the place. Tiffany, a straight-shooting, funny lady, doesn't take any of that for granted. "I'm always so flattered. I know it seems corny," she says with a laugh. "Some things on my menu might cost what people make in an hour. That's your hard-earned money. It's a big responsibility."
