Encountered in Ocean City, this oddity is just a very pleasant beach wine that requires no deep contemplation. "Rose Vinho Verde" is actually an oxymoron, because "Vinho Verde" actually means "green wine," and this is decidedly pink. It does, however, resemble real Vinho Verde (a delightful white wine made from borderline underripe grapes) in its light effervescence. It's a dry, refreshing wine with hints of strawberry, cherry and hibiscus tea. Nobody will mistake it for profound, but when you're taking a lunch break by the seashore, it's just right.
