Rise Biscuits Donuts to open in Lutherville-Timonium

Rise Biscuits Donuts is making its way to Maryland with a new location in Lutherville-Timonium, and more to follow.

The Durham, N.C.-based chain is opening at 1620 York Road in November serving biscuits, donuts and more for breakfast and lunch.

The quick-service restaurant is owned by franchisees Fran Kirley, Chris Kirley and David Brindza, and they plan to open four more locations in the state in the next three years.

Rise Biscuit Donuts offers sweet and savory breakfast and lunch options, including cake, yeast and fritter doughnuts with toppings like creme brulee or maple bacon. It also serves sandwiches on biscuits or potato rolls including fried chicken, ham and sausage, and fried green tomato with pimento cheese and arugula.

The first restaurant opened in Durham in 2012, and the chain currently has 14 locations. Most of its restaurants are in North Carolina, with a few outliers in Georgia and Texas. Rise has two other locations in the works in Florida and Virginia.

The 1,800-square-foot Timonium location will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
