The team behind Stall 11, the veggie-centered cafe at R. House, is opening a second stand, filling the final empty stall at the Remington food hall.
Molina Pizze & Polpette, a stall serving New Haven-style pizza and meatballs, will become the food hall’s 10th permanent vendor when it opens in mid-October. The stall is owned by Urban Pastoral partners J.J. Reidy and Christian De Paco, and the menu is overseen by chef Melanie Molinaro, who also dictates the offerings at Stall 11.
Molina will offer pizza by the slice or whole pie, as well as “Granny Slices” — square pizza slices served at room temperature on thicker crust. Pizza options will include the “Originale,” made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh herbs; and the gluten-free and vegan “Terra,” brushed with lemon-basil-sunflower-seed pesto and topped with shallots, cherry tomatoes, squash and kale.
The pizzas will be baked in an Italian-made Pavesi oven, a stone hearth oven that can fire a pizza in three minutes.
Molina will also serve small plates like “Mama’s Meatballs” and aperitivo-inspired dishes in collaboration with R. Bar, such as olives and charcuterie plates paired with Milanese cocktails.
