Marco’s Pizza, a Toldeo, Ohio-based pizza chain, has opened its first location in Maryland and is on track to grow its slice of the local pizza market.
The pizza shop opened last weekend at Lakeshore Plaza, 4155 Mountain Road in Pasadena.
Marco’s, which offers both dine-in and carry-out service, offers pizza, subs, wings and other pizza shop staples. The chain is the latest restaurant to join a Baltimore-area pizza market that’s become increasingly crowded, with local and national competitors including &pizza, Blaze Pizza and Bagby Pizza Co.
Franchisees Beth and Brian Bogard opened the Pasadena Marco’s, and the husband-and-wife team plans to open six locations in Anne Arundel and Howard counties during the next few years.
In addition to growing its footprint in Maryland, Marco’s is expanding across the country and aims to have 1,000 locations open by the end of the year.
The Pasadena eatery opens at 11 a.m. daily and closes at 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
