Loch Bar opening Boca Raton location

Loch Bar is following its sister restaurant from Harbor East to Florida with a second location in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park mall.

Seating 200 diners inside plus 75 on its patio, the 5,500-square-foot seafood restaurant is expected to open before the end of the year, according to a news release from Atlas Restaurant Group.

The restaurant will mark the second Mizner Park establishment for Atlas Restaurant Group, following Ouzo Bay’s second location in the ritzy shopping center. Ouzo Bay opened its second restaurant last year, and its success in Florida prompted the group to add a second Loch Bar location there, Atlas owner Alex Smith said in a statement.

“Mizner Park offers the perfect location to expand our Atlas brand and continue to provide our familiar clientele with additional dining options,” he said in the statement.

The new Loch Bar will offer an expanded menu including hot and cold appetizers, sandwiches, entrees and a raw bar with at least 18 varieties of East and West Coast oysters that rotate daily. The bar will serve craft beer, wine and cocktails, as well as an extensive whiskey selection.

Patrick Sutton is designing the restaurant’s interior.

The second Loch Bar will mark Atlas Restaurant Group’s ninth restaurant. The group recently debuted Tagliata and the Elk Room, the adjacent Italian chop house and speakeasy-style bar in the former Fleet Street Kitchen and Ten Ten Bistro spaces in Harbor East. Atlas is also working to open the Bygone, a swanky rooftop restaurant at the Four Seasons Baltimore.
