Firehouse Subs opens first Harford County location in Bel Air

Firehouse Subs, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based sandwich chain, opened its first Harford County location last week in Bel Air.

Owners Isaac Ralston, Jerald White and Timothy Padilla partnered to open the sub shop at 615 Baltimore Pike in the Tollgate Marketplace shopping center.

Firehouse Subs is known for hot subs piled with steamed meats and cheeses, including the Hook a Ladder (turkey, ham and Monterey Jack cheese with mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion) and the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub. The eatery also serves cold subs and salads.

Founded in 1994 by brothers Chris and Robin Sorenson, Firehouse Subs has more than 1,000 locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada.

The Bel Air location marks Firehouse Subs’ 13th in Maryland. Other Greater Baltimore locations include Timonium, Owings Mills, Laurel and Severna Park.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
