Slice, a pizza delivery app, arrives in Baltimore

Baltimore pizza fans have a new way of quickly ordering pies to their door.

On Thursday, New York City-based mobile app Slice launched in Baltimore. Android and iOS users who download the app can order delivery pizza from local shops. Slice is offering first-time app users a $5 off discount using the code “BALTIMORE5.”

Dozens of Baltimore-area pizzerias are participating, including Homeslyce, Supano’s Steakhouse, Mount Vernon Pizzaria, Pizza Boli’s, Ribaldi’s Pizza & Subs and more. For a complete list, go to slicelife.com and enter your address in the search bar at the top.

Launched in 2010 by founder and CEO Ilir Sela, Slice was originally called MyPizza.

The app joins several other food-delivery options in the area, such as Grubhub (which recently acquired Baltimore’s OrderUp), UberEats and Amazon Prime.
