100 best Baltimore-area restaurants 2011: Critic's picks
This is a different kind of dining guide. This year, we've expanded the list of Baltimore's best restaurants and we've broken them down into categories like the best restaurants for doing business, for celebrating special occasions and for everyday dining. There is an additional list of 10 best restaurants as determined by Baltimore Sun readers and one final list of critic's overall favorites. --Richard Gorelick

Critic's picks: Demi( Lloyd Fox, Baltimore Sun / September 24, 2011 )
Demi is just a room on the lower floor of another restaurant, and in this room are a dozen or so tables. At its far end is an eating counter that overlooks the kitchen where Tae Strain and a minimal Demi staff create maximally engaging food. It's like watching Federer and Nadal, except with knives, and the counter is just wide enough to keep diners from leaping over it to congratulate everyone involved.--Richard Gorelick
