Don't let Sandy dampen your weekend plans. The storm isn't expected to visit Maryland until late Sunday -- or Monday, or Tuesday. Keep an eye on Scott Dance's Maryland Weather Blog and follow him on Twitter @mdweather for the latest storm updates.
Stop by October's Final Friday at Penn Station event for the Charles Street Fall Fest. The event features some 20 vendors, including Station North Arts Cafe, Mick O'Shea's, Cazbar and Lumbini, offering food, drinks, vintage clothing, collectibles, jewelry and much more. There will also be live music sponsored by the Baltimore Folk Festival, and there will be beer from Flying Dog.
Baltimore Beer Week runs though Sunday. Check out some of the food-focused events, like Friday's ChiliBrew VI Competition at 2640 Space, Saturday's An Alewife-Sierra Nevada Beer Dinner for the Ages and Sunday's Pancakes and Pumpkin Ale brunch at the Point in Fells.
There's a Gathering at McHenry Row Friday night. This food truck rally will include an adult costume contest. Children are welcome; they will be allowed to trick or treat at all McHenry Row retailers. Beer and wine will be sold -- guests can purchase a $15 unlimited drinks wristband.
