Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop to offer 61-cent cannolis for 61st anniversary

Vaccaro's is selling 61-cent cannolis Thursday in honor of its 61st anniversary.

Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop will serve 61-cent cannolis on Thursday to celebrate its 61st anniversary.

The Little Italy shop at 222 Albemarle St. will offer its regular large cannoli for 61 cents, with a limit of two per customer. Regular cannolis are usually $4.95 a piece.

The deal is being offered for carry-out customers only and will be available at the shop's other locations in Canton, Bel Air and Hunt Valley.

The discount is one cent off from similar a deal the shop offered last year for its 60th birthday.

Gioacchino Vaccaro opened the Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop on March 16, 1956, at 217 Albemarle St. His son Nick Vaccaro expanded the shop and relocated to its current location in Little Italy at 222 Albemarle St. in 1986.
