Attracting patrons from the neighborhood and the nearby colleges, Dougherty's Pub has 15 beers on draft and the typical happy hour specials patrons have come to expect in Baltimore. But it also has character and heart, which can be seen on the wall filled with works from local artists, free of charge.

Jack's Bistro is on its annual January break. The hiatus began right after New Year's Eve service and continues through Jan. 11. The gang returns on Saturday, Jan. 12.
Mekong Delta is on a really long break. It started Dec. 12 and continues through Feb. 25. The Vietnamese restaurant will reopen on Saturday, Feb. 26.
Beginning this Sunday, Talara in Harbor East will close for 11 days of remodeling. The restaurant will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 16. But before it closes down, Talara will be depleting its inventory with discounted menu drinks and menu items. And, on Saturday, they'll be going out in style with a day-long happy hour featuring "an array of menu items and drinks at discounted prices."
