Outdoor dining spots in Baltimore [Pictures]
Let's get outside and enjoy some fresh air -- these are our favorite outdoor eating spots in Baltimore. We included some of the best waterfront locations, especially those places that have taken full advantage of their setting with thought-out patio designs; none of those wobbly table and spindly chair deals. We also included our favorite sidewalk cafes, because nothing beats a good people-watching vantage point on a hot summer night, and a few backyard patios, too. Because sometimes, all you need is to be outside, enjoying every second of the year's longest days. -- Richard Gorelick

Thames Street Oyster House( Karl Merton Ferron, Baltimore Sun photo / September 14, 2011 )
Surrounded by neighboring buildings, the brick dining patio behind Thames Street Oyster House in Fells Point doesn't have a view of the water, and it's not the most lush setting. But we love it all the same. There's something rugged about the atmosphere that feels just right for Fells Point, especially when you're feasting on oysters.
