July 12: Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off and Festival( Handout photo / May 24, 2013 )
The 12th annual Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off and Festival is billed as the Eastern Shore town's "biggest annual street festival." The attractions include a crab-picking competition, family activities and plenty of non-crab offerings among the food. The festival highlight pits local chefs against each other in a crab cook-off. The street festival is free. A $25 ticket gives you a taste of all the entered dishes.
Taste of Cambridge, July 12, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; 400 and 500 blocks of Race Street, 500 block of Poplar Street; 443-477-0843; cambridgemainstreet.com
