After working in the kitchen at the Oceanaire Seafood Room for the past six years, Brandon Adler has taken the culinary reins at the restaurant in Harbor East.
Adler has worked at the Harbor East seafood restaurant since 2011. He spent several years before that cooking in Oregon before returning to his native Baltimore.
His cooking style often incorporates Southern and Asian influences.
"I look forward to using my culinary skills and creating unique and flavorful dishes for our loyal patrons," Adler said in a statement.
Chef specialties currently listed on Oceanaire's menu include andouille-crusted Texas redfish, grilled Grand Banks swordfish and seared Pacific sablefish.
The restaurant at 801 Aliceanna St. is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Oceanaire chain is owned by Houston-based Landry's Inc., which also operates McCormick & Schmick's Seafood, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Chart House.
