Bookmakers Cocktail Club
Rye owner Ryan Perlberg opened Bookmakers Cocktail Club (31 E Cross St., 443-438-4039, bookmakersbaltimore.com) in early September in Federal Hill. The executive chef at Bookmakers is Chris Amendola, formerly of Fleet Street Kitchen. The beverage director is Ryan Sparks, who has worked at Jack's Bistro, Of Love and Regret and The Brewer's Art. Soyombo Grille is opening tonight at The Can Company. The restaurant, which features build-your-own noodle bowls and rice bowls and an a la carte menu of entrees and small plates like sizzling kabobs, hoisin-glazed salmon and Asian-style crab cake, is a reboot of BangBang Mongolian Grill, which was a franchise operation.
