Ruby 8 Noodles and Sushi replaced by Fu Noodle House at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore

Fu Noodle House replaces Ruby 8 at the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore.

Ruby 8 Noodles and Sushi has been replaced by another Asian fusion restaurant at the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore.

Ruby 8's last day at the South Baltimore casino was Feb. 28, and Fu Noodle House moved into its place.

Owned by Chil and Joyce Chong, Ruby 8 serves a mix of Asian cuisine, including Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean dishes, sushi and small plates.

Chil Chong said business was strong at Horseshoe, but the casino bought out the remainder of Ruby 8's lease, which had two and a half years left, plus a five-year option to renew.

"Everybody knew from the start that it [wasn’t] going to be a long honeymoon," he said.

A spokesman for the casino confirmed the change.

Fu Noodle House, the new restaurant at the casino, also offers a mix of Asian dishes, such as sushi, soups, noodles and entrees. The casino eatery is open from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday.

Ruby 8 has another location at McHenry Row, which opened in May 2016.
