The long wait for R. House's debut will end next week when the food hall opens to the public.
The Remington food emporium at the corner of Remington Avenue and 29th Street will hold a grand opening at 5 p.m. Dec. 8.
The space houses 10 food vendors, a bar and a pop-up space. R. House's chefs will offer everything from coffee and breakfast sandwiches to poke and ice cream. One additional permanent concept will join the hall in January.
The $13 million project by Seawall Development Co., which has been underway for over a year, transformed the 50,000-square-foot space, once an Anderson Automotive showroom, into a food hall with a fitness studio and office space above.
After Thursday's opening, the food hall's regular hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to midnight on Friday; 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. R. Bar will open at 3 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends, with the same closing hours as the rest of the space.
