Pi Day specials in and around Baltimore

Pizza discounts, free pie and more on Pi Day in Baltimore.

Local restaurants — especially those serving pizza and pie — are rolling out Pi Day specials for the March 14 "holiday" celebrating pi, the mathematical constant rounded to 3.14 that represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.

Here are a few places in the Baltimore area where you'll find discounts on pizzas, pies and more on Tuesday.

Blaze Pizza will offer $3.14 whole pizzas all day at every location. The pizza shop has locations in Baltimore (600 E. Pratt St.), Laurel (14708 Baltimore Ave.) and College Park (7419 Baltimore Ave.). The restaurants may close Tuesday due to weather, but Blaze Pizza will continue to offer Pi Day Discounts through the end of the month. Customers can enter the code "PIDAY2017" on the Blaze Pizza mobile app from March 15-31 for $3.14 off their next order.

Dangerously Delicious Pies in Canton (2839 O'Donnell St.) and Hampden (810 W. 36th St.) will host a Pi Day happy hour from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., when it will offer $1 off pie slices and $5 off whole pies.

The Maryland Science Center (601 Light St.) will host kid-friendly Pi Day activities including Pi Roulette (a chance to get pied in the face), dropping pie tins filled with different substances off the building's roof and a pie-eating contest. The institution will also serve free pie slices from Dangerously Delicious Pies. The activities are free with admission.

Peace a Pizza in Catonsville (15 Mellor Ave.) will offer $5 off whole pizzas all day.

&pizza in Federal Hill (1201 S. Charles St.) will host Vegas-style weddings on Wednesday. (The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed due to weather.) Online applications for couples have closed, but there will be a few slots available for walk-in weddings.
