Otakon attendees will have someplace to head, after their full days of panel discussions, presentations and workshops at the Baltimore Convention Center.
On Friday and Saturday, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., master sommelier Tiffany Dawn Soto is hosting a 21-and-over after-party and sake tasting at Dooby's in Mount Vernon.
Soto is no stranger to Otakon, where she presents on panels devoted to sake, whiskey and Japanese drinking culture. And if her name sounds familiar, it's because Soto was the sake sommelier at Pabu, the now-closed Japanese restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.
Pabu is closed now, and Dooby's offered Soto their space for the event.
Dooby's will be selling things to eat at the party like ramen, sushi, pork buns and bento boxes.
The Dooby's event is not exclusively for Otakon attendees, but they are the target audience.
Admission to the party is free and open to the public, and the sake-tasting is free for anyone who attended one of Soto's Otakon panels.
Now, if someone asks you what was going on at Dooby's on Friday and Saturday, you'll have an answer.
