Nine Md. restaurants among U.S. notable 100 wine lists

Open Table has announced its 2012 Diner's Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Restaurants with the Most Notable Wine Lists, and nine Maryland restaurants are on it. That's a higher representation than any state but California.

The Maryland restaurants on the Diner's Choice list include Cinghiale, Vino Rosina and The Wine Market in Baltimore; Iron Bridge Wine Co. and AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar in Columbia; Bistro Blanc in Glenelg; Pairings Bistro in Bel Air; and Grapeseed in Bethesda.

The awards, according to Open Table, are generated from more than 5 million reviews collected from verified Open Table diners, and all restaurants with a minimum number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of qualifying reviews for which "Notable Wine List" was selected as a special feature.

Based in San Francisco, Open Table provides online restaurant reservations for diners and reservation and guest management solutions for restaurants.
