Le Diner en Blanc, the exclusive pop-up picnic with an all-white dress code, will make its Baltimore debut this summer.
The dinner, founded in Paris, is the latest secret dining event to make its way to Baltimore, and hopeful guests can sign up to be added to the wait list now.
Attendees must dress in white head to toe, and bring their own tables, white chairs, white table linens, tableware and a gourmet meal. The event also includes live entertainment and dancing.
As with past Diner en Blanc pop-ups, the location will be unveiled to participants on the day of the event.
The date will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a news release from the organizers. Guests who want to attend can register now on the waiting list at baltimore.dinerenblanc.com.
Registration takes place in three phases. In the first phase, Diner en Blanc members — those who have attended previous Diner en Blanc events — and guests invited by the hosts are able to purchase tickets. Friends who are "sponsored" by those in phase one can register during phase two. And people on the wait list can sign up during phase three on a first come, first served basis.
Courtney Bryant, Hanna Cohen and Candice Denise Owens are hosting the inaugural Baltimore dinner.
The tradition began in Paris 30 years ago and attracts more than 10,000 people annually in its founding city. The first American Diner en Blanc was hosted in New York in 2011. Today, the dinner is held in more than 70 cities and 35 countries.
