Johnny Sanchez at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore [Pictures]
Described as a "spirited taqueria," Johnny Sanchez is one of three premium dining venues at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, the $442 million entertainment facility opening Aug. 26 on Russell Street. The 222-seat restaurant is a first-time collaboration between the chefs John Besh and Aaron Sanchez, who traveled and cooked together for two years while preparing Johnny Sanchez's menu, which features tostadas, tacos and other cuisine inspired by the street food of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Johnny Sanchez is a first-time collaboration between Aaron Sanchez (left) and John Besh. Both chefs are cookbook authors and television personalities. While Sanchez is perhaps best known as a judge on the Food Network show "Chopped," Besh has hosted two shows on national public television, "Chef John Besh's New Orleans" and "Chef John Besh's Family Table."
Sanchez, whose restaurants include Mestizo in Leawood, Kan. and Paloma in Stamford, Conn., and Besh, a James Beard Award-winning chef whose nine restaurants include several in his native Louisiana, became friends while both were competing on the Food Network's show "Next Iron Chef."
