After only four months of operation, Joey B's Bar & Grille has closed. The restaurant, which featured variations on Sicilian rice balls on its menu, along with build-your-own burgers, panini, and hot turkey sandwiches, opened in mid-August.

A message posted to Joey B's Facebook page said, "It is with great regret that we had to close down Joey B's. We loved our patrons and appreciate their loyalty. We enjoyed our time being part of Federal Hill and will miss the area tremendously."

Joey B's was owned by Joseph Bivona, who operates the Grille at Peerce's Landing in the old Peerce's Plantation property on Dulaney Valley Road. An employee at Peerce's confirmed the closing at Joey B's and said Bivona was out of town.
