Joe Squared fires up Power Plant Live specials

The Baltimore Sun

Joe Squared at Power Plant Live has started running weekly specials just like the original Joe Squared in Charles North does.

Owner Joe Edwardsen posts the weekly specials on his website's blog, without fail. Let's have a look, shall we, at this week's specials. The skins are filled with stuffed with jalapenos and hanger steak with tomato, cheddar guacamole, cheddar and chives; the soup is sweet potato and coconut with ginger, honey, cinnamon and red pepper flakes; and the wings are ancho and cilantro.

But wait, there's more.

The risotto of the week is red beet and chicken with butter, chives and dill creme fraiche. And, the pizza of the week is ... the Cabbage Patch, sauteed cabbage, Jarlsberg, red onions, caraway seed, seal salt and crispy garlic.

Joe Squared has also cemented the happy hour specials at it new location. Monday - half-priced beers; Tuesday - a free 10-inch pizza with the purchase of two canned beers; Wednesday -- wings and a draft for $9; Thursday - half-priced rum and rum drinks; Friday - two-for-one rail; Saturday -- half price risotto; and Sunday - free pint of beer with a pizza purchase.

Happy Hour at Joe Squared at the Power Plant is 4 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
