Oyster Bay Grille
Oyster Bay Grille closed in late August after less than a year of operation. The restaurant opened in September 2013 in the Towson Circle development at York and Joppa roads.
The team behind Oyster Bay Grille included brothers Nick and John Daskalakis and their longtime friend Spyros Stavrakas, who was a principal in the development of Taverna Athena, an original Harborplace tenant, and the well-remembered Fells Point restaurant Opa. Joining them was Christopher Vocci, formerly of the Baltimore Country Club, who was originally brought on as a menu consultant but was ultimately hired as the executive chef. Jesse Wong's Kitchen has closed at Hunt Valley Town Centre.
"Jesse Wong’s Kitchen closed on May 31 after 10 successful years of doing business in Hunt Valley Towne Centre," Michelle Schiffer, a mall spokeswoman, confirmed via an email.
The 6,300 square-foot restaurant space will become the first Baltimore-area location of Bar Louie, an Addison, Texas-based bar and restaurant franchise known for its signature martinis. Schiffer said Bar Louie is expected to open in late summer-early fall.
Jesse Wong's Kitchen was one of the original 2005 tenants at Hunt Valley Town Centre, a "Main Street"-style shopping center that effectively replaced the old Hunt Valley Mall.
The restaurant's owners still operate Jesse Wong's Asean Bistro in Columbia.
