Restaurant owners and management were scrambling to return to normal operations on Tuesday morning. A few places were already doing business in the early morning.
Many full-scale restaurants were skipping lunch service, usually because of restrictions placed on driving and the suspension of public transportation. Among those posting notices on social media that they would be open for Tuesday dinner service (but not for lunch) were Crush, M&S Grill, Brewer's Art, Caesar's Den, Linwoods, The Wine Market, and Franc & Nic's West End Grille
Also opening Tuesday evening: B Bistro, Talara, Woodberry Kitchen, McGerk's, Social Pub & Pie, Portside Tavern, Ten Ten, Towson Tavern, Pazo, Johhny's, Cinghiale, Petit Louis, Cafe Gia, Waterfront Kitchen, Donna's Cross Keys, Heavy Seas Alehouse, and Clementine
Also open for dinner on Tuesday: Chazz: A Bronx Original, Aldo's Sotto Sopra, Ranazul, Victoria Gastro Pub. Fogo de Chao, Delia Foley's, Ropewalk, Stalking Horse Saloon, Portalli's and the Diamondback Tavern.
Towson Hot Bagels was open by 6:30 a.m. In Fells Point, Slainte opened by 8 a.m. for its traditional weekday breakfast. The Blue Moon Cafe opened at 9 a.m. and Sip and Bite in Canton opened for breakfast on Tuesday, too. Wit & Wisdom opened for breakfast will served dinner, too.
Open for lunch and dinner on Tuesday: Milk & Honey Market, City Cafe, the Owl Bar and Midtown BBQ and Brew in Mount Vernon; Kooper's Tavern and Max's Taphouse in Fells Point; Jimmy's Seafood in Broening Manor; Alonso’s, S'Ghetti Eddie's in Keswick; Claddagh Pub, Looney's and Nacho Mama's in Canton; The Miss Shirley's in Keswick, downtown and Annapolis; and Zia's Cafe in Towson.
Also open for lunch and dinner: Lebanese Taverna; Great Sage in Clarksville; Golden West and Alchemy in Hampden; Chaps Pit Beef in Pulaski Industrial Area, and, in Federal Hill, Ledo’s Pizza; No Idea Tavern, Mother's Grille, Ryleigh's Oyster, Blue Agave and Metropolitan Wine Bar and Coffeehouse.
Gino's in Towson is open on Tuesday and is inviting service men and women to come by for 50% off their entire check "in appreciation of working, preparing, and preserving our safety and comfort."
CLOSED: Phillips restaurants were remaining closed in Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington on Tuesday. Blue Hill Tavern in Canton was staying closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The Rumor Mill in Ellicott City is reopening on Wednesday as are Mr. Rain's Fun House in Federal Hill and The Milton Inn.
Also closed on Tuesday: Harborplace & The Gallery, Mondawmin Mall, Towson Town Center, White Marsh Mall. Restaurants in Harborplace with their own exterior entrances had the option of opening on Tuesday, but most stayed closed, with the exception of The Cheesecake Factory, whcih was open for lunch and dinner and La Tasca and M&S Grilll, which were opening for dinner.
J. Paul's and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. will reopen Wednesday morning.
Most food trucks suspended operations on Tuesday.
