Crab travelers, take note. The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay has announced plans for its Third Annual Crab Week, scheduled for Aug 17-31.
Highlights of the two-week promotion include a barbecue and crab feast on Aug. 18, daily crab-catching and crab-cooking demos and a visit from "Food Network Star" finalist Beth Albright, who will demonstrate a crab-inspired dish and sign copies of her book, "How Apples Grow."
Additional foodie activities include local craft beer specials, crab-inspired cookie decorating, and the ultimate competition - a crab cake eating contest. Guests can sign-up for an exclusive tour and feast at J.M Clayton Company, the world's oldest crab house on August 25. There’s stuff to do for the youngsters, too.
