The Hampden ice cream shop that gave us "Crunch Davis," a tribute flavor to Oriole slugger Chris Davis, and limited-edition ice creams flavored with pickles and beer (not at the same time) is at it again.
On Friday, The Charmery is debuting The Heisenberg, a limited-edition tribute to "Breaking Bad," the critically acclaimed AMC series about the misadventures of high-school teacher turned methamphetamine magnate Walter White, aka Heisenberg.
The Heisenberg’s vanilla base is laced with pieces of Crystal Blue(berry), according to the email announcement from The Charmery's David Alima.
Crystal Blue(berry) is actually "mochi,” a gummy candy made out of rice that retains its chewy texture in ice cream, Alima reassuringly explained.
"Breaking Bad" concludes its run on Sunday night.
The Charmery is at 801 W. 36th St. in Hampden. For information call 410-814-0493 or go thecharmery.com.
