Turkey burgers tend to be bland, dry affairs, but this one ($5.99) is juicy and delicious. Served on a toasted brioche bun, it's a light alternative to the normal burger which will make you a believer in the power of poultry. (Karl Merton Ferron, Baltimore Sun /February 8, 2012)
Friendly's is celebrating National Hamburger Month, and promoting its new Build Your Own Burger concept, with a "Build Your Own Burger" contest.
Entrants will submit their original creations online. Then, Friendly's will select three finalists to compete at one of three "Burger Bashes" to be hosted at Friendly's restaurants in Watertown, Mass., Massapequa Park, N.Y., and over on Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk.

Why Dundalk? A rep for the Wilbraham, Mass.-based chain told me that Friendly's wanted to hold the “Burger Bashes” in markets where the brand has a strong presence.
The "Burger Bash" at the Friendly's in Dundalk is on June 23.
You have until May 20 to submit your burger creations here.
