The Emporiyum food market and festival will return to Baltimore for a third time this spring.
The event, which showcases dozens of chefs and food purveyors from across the country, will be held April 16-17 in a to-be-announced location. Organizers are securing the lease on the space and will disclose it in the coming weeks.
This year's Emporiyum will boast more than 80 local, regional and national vendors, about 55 of which will be new to the event.
Local participants include Clavel, the Corner Pantry, Ekiben, the Local Oyster, Dooby's, Tessemae's and Pinch Gourmet Chinese Dumplings. Charm City Meadworks and Charm City Beverage will also be on site doling out drinks. Other vendors will travel from Charleston, S.C., New York and Philadelphia for the event.
Last year's festival was held in the former H&S Bakery distribution center at 601 S. Eden St. The inaugural event in 2014 was held at the Thames Street Wharf building.
Tickets for both days are available through Eventbrite, and prices range from $16.82 to $43.19. VIP tickets are limited to 500 per day, and provide early access and exclusive tastings to ticketholders.
The event begins with VIP entrance at 10 a.m., followed by early general admission at 11 a.m. The venue will open for regular general admission at 1:30 p.m. both days, and the market will close for everyone at 4 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
