Taharka Bros. is hosting an old-fashioned ice cream social on Aug. 11 at its Mount Washington store.
The Aug. 11 ice cream social at Taharka Bros. will feature live music and hot dogs and tons of socializing. Did you all know that the Mount Washington Taharka Bros. store is operated by the folks from Uncle Wiggly's in Towson. It's true.
Also, on Aug. 11, there's an old-fashioned ice-cream making demonstration at the Admiral Fell Inn (888 S. Broadway) at 5:30 p.m. Harbor Magic Executive Chef Bryan Sullivan will demonstrate how to make homemade ice cream and sharing his recipes for Blueberry Pie, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Peaches and Cream. Call 443-353-9861 for more information or to pre-register. There will be sampling.
Both events are free and open to the public.
A Twitter experiment -- if you Tweet this event directly from the blog post, it will post with a #BigIceCreamSocial hashtag. I wonder if that's a good idea.
