Baltimore restaurants observe Veterans Day

Mission BBQ, the patriotic barbecue restaurant, where the National Anthem is played every day at noon, is teaming up with Charm City Cakes for a Veterans Day salute to America's veterans and active military personnel.
 
Charm City Cakes is creating four WWII Memorial replication cakes - one for each Mission BBQ location. At each restaurant, a World War II veteran will make the ceremonial first slice of cake, each of which yields 300-400 slices.
 
Mission BBQ will also serve complimentary pork, turkey and brisket sandwiches to all veterans and active military all day, starting at noon. For information location go to missionbbq.com.
 
Elsewhere, The Prime Rib at Maryland Live Casino will offer a long-bone rib eye paired with a choice of soup or salad, and a choice of one dessert for $95 to diners with military ID.
