Dogfish Head to open new restaurant concept in Rehoboth next week

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, the award-winning brewpub and distillery, will open a new restaurant concept, Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, May 19 in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

The new spot, located next door to Dogfish Head's original brewpub, will offer a mix of food, live music and a large selection of spirits and beers. It has seating for 180 guests.

The warm, wooden decor will include “cozy barrel booths with oversized fishbowl glass windows,” according to a press release.

“It’s a very raw, wooden, naturally finished space, built with a few special off-centered quirks, like the barrel booths and the nook by the bar – spaces where people can say ‘that’s my spot,'” Chris McAdams, project designer at Digsau, the Philadelphia-based firm responsible for designing the new space, said in a statement.  

The establishment will also feature an elevated, 220-square-foot stage to host local and national musical acts.

Menu highlights include crab corn chowder, buffalo chicken mac and cheese, rotisserie chicken, fish and chips, house-baked pretzel bites and wood-oven pizzas.

Since it opened 22 years ago, Dogfish Head has grown into a nationally recognized brewery whose founder and owner, Sam Calagione, recently received the James Beard Foundation Award for 2017 Outstanding Wine, Spirits or Beer Professional.

The company employs more than 250 people through its brewery and distillery. The brand sells beer in 34 states.

Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, is located at 320 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth, Del. It will serve lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Brunch will be served on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Go to dogfish.com or call 302-226-2739.
